My Movie Tradition On Thanksgiving – Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I hope everybody is having a great day with friends and family, as well as that ever so important bird.

Every Thanksgiving I always get the urge to watch one specific movie. This movie covers all aspects of what makes Thanksgiving travel so difficult! We have so many ways to get around this world, but when everything fails, the journey becomes one of the most interesting ones to capture on film. Mix the wild ride with two brilliant comedic actors, and you get the brilliance of Planes, Trains & Automobiles.

It’s the perfect blend of comedy and reality. We all have been in a situation where our flight has been delayed, or even worse cancelled! Time is of the essence during the holidays, and when you want something immediately, the odds are usually stacked against you. Mother-nature is a beast in Planes, Trains & Automobiles, and makes life a living hell for Neal Page played by Steve Martin. He just wants to get home to his family in time for Thanksgiving, and runs into multiple problems including meeting a very annoying but kind hearted man named Del Griffith played by the late John Candy. Together these two characters take you through the highs and lows of traveling this interesting country, just so one man can get home to his family in time for Thanksgiving.

It’s one of the most endearing films I have ever seen, and if you are looking for a movie to watch with your family this Thanksgiving I definitely suggest Planes, Trains & Automobiles!

Let me leave you with one of the most epic scenes in a film I have ever seen, have a great ******* Thanksgiving!

Gobble, Gobble.
