“Last Vegas” is finally shaping up

“Last Vegas” a film that may showcase one of the most legendary male casts of all time, is finally taking shape.

“Last Vegas” features four close friends in their late 60’s who decide to throw a Las Vegas style bachelor party for the one member of the group who is still single.

The cast has confirmed deals with Robert De Niro, Morgan Freeman, Michael Douglas, and Kevin Kline. If that isn’t impressive enough, Jack Nicholson may still be involved in the project, but nothing has been confirmed yet. If you visit the IMDB page for “Last Vegas” Nicholson is listed as “rumored.”

I know what you’re thinking, this is “The Hangover” for oldies! In fact De Niro doesn’t deny that notion one bit.

“It’s going to be like ‘The Hangover,’ but with guys who are older than Bradley Cooper’s buddies. Michael Douglas plays a bachelor who’s finally getting married in his retirement years. We’re taking him to Vegas for a little celebration before he walks down the aisle. It’s senior citizens in Sin City,” Robert said.

“Last Vegas”is being directed by Jon Turtletaub and is being written by Dan Fogelman who recently saw success with his well written film “Crazy, Stupid, Love.”

It has been reported that CBS Films bought Fogelman’s script for a seven-figure deal back in 2008, but the project was stalled multiple times.

Nothing against Bradley Cooper and the gang, but a cast that includes Freeman, De Niro, Kline, and Douglas will have veteran movie fans extremely excited. Between these four gentlemen they possess 14 Oscar nominations, and 5 wins total.

“Last Vegas” has a long way to go before they have a finished product for us in 2013, but with the incredible cast that has been put together, the film is bound to stir interest for movie fans around the world.
