A slew of updated trailers have hit the web that are worth checking out.
We start with “Django Unchained” the highly anticipated Quentin Tarantino film that is set to release on Christmas day. The first trailer was a teaser which showcased Jamie Foxx as “Django,” Leonardo DiCaprio as “Calvin Candie,” and Christoph Waltz as “Dr. King Shultz.” In the new trailer we now see Jonah Hill, Samuel L. Jackson, and Kerry Washington round out this talented cast.
“Django Unchained” looks like another classic from Tarantino. It mixes humor, action, and doesn’t shy away from the sensitive topic it covers, but Tarantino is never one to shy away from a controversial storyline. Christoph Waltz who you likely remember as “Col. Hans Landa,” looks like he is a scene stealer all over again for Tarantino.

Another highly anticipated film called “Zero Dark Thirty” released an updated trailer as it inches closer to its December 19th release.
“Zero Dark Thirty” chronicles the decade-long hunt for al-Qaeda terrorist leader Osama bin Laden. It goes onto cover his death at the hands of the Navy SEAL Team 6 as well. Oscar winning director Kathryn Bigelow has high expectations to follow after her colossal hit “The Hurt Locker” which won six Oscars in 2010.
“Zero Dark Thirty” has been in the works for some time now, but after Osama bin Laden was killed, Bigelow and her partner in writing Mark Boal had to rewrite the entire thing, as things had drastically changed. Jessica Chastain, and Chris Pratt play lead roles in this action thriller. It will be interesting to see how Chris Pratt makes the transition into drama. Pratt is well known for his hilarious role in the popular comedy show “Parks and Recreation.”

The third and final trailer involves the embattled film named “Gangster Squad.” The film was originally slated for an early October release, but due to the tragedy that took place at a movie theater in Aurora, Colorado the film was pushed back. One particular scene that displays a mass shooting in a movie theater in the 1950’s was forced to be cut and re-edited due to the real life tragedy. The delay cost millions of dollars, and needed the entire crews cooperation, but Warner Bros. felt it was the politically correct thing to do.
We now know we can catch “Gangster Squad” in theaters January 11th, 2013.
The talented cast that includes Sean Penn, Ryan Gosling, Emma Stone, Josh Brolin, and many more, have been hard at work making the proper adjustments for the newly renovated film.
