“The Wolf of Wall Street” trailer has arrived

wolfThe highly anticipated “Wolf of Wall Street” released a much needed trailer earlier today that featured an amazing cast led by Leonardo DiCaprio.

After viewing the trailer, many have already dubbed the role as “the one” that will get DiCaprio his first Oscar. Leo has been nominated three times in his career, but has yet to take home the golden statue.

“The Wolf of Wall Street” revolves around a New York stockbroker named Jordan Belfort who refuses to cooperate in a large securities fraud case involving corruption on Wall Street, corporate banking world and mob infiltration.

The film will be directed by the legendary Martin Scorsese, and this will be the fifth collaboration between Scorsese and DiCaprio.

“The Wolf of Wall Street” trailer wastes no time showing the extravagant life Belfort leads, and the rules that he has no problems breaking. All this happens as “Black Skinhead” from Kanye West blares in the background, and shades of “Goodfellas” lights up the screen in a humorous way.

DiCaprio is in full party mode, but this time he’s not quite as innocent as Jay Gatsby. He’s all about the money, and he doesn’t know where to stop. When you’re on Wall Street, greed is good. The trailer also effectively showcases the strong cast that accompanies DiCaprio; with the likes of Jonah Hill, Matthew McConaughey, Jean Dujardin and many more. McConaughey in specific has been on a role lately, and when he signed up for this film you can safely assume he was in search for a supporting actor nod. His presence in the trailer is as strong as ever.

The film is set for a November 15, 2013 release, and will more than likely compete at the Oscars in March.
